Russell L. Kerschmann, MD
As CLIA License Holder and Medical Director for multiple Silicon Valley clinical testing laboratories, Dr. Kerschmann oversees diagnostic testing operations for millions of tests each year, and guides laboratories through the regulatory process. To this complex challenge, he brings a broad background as a Physician/Pathologist, Entrepreneur, Executive, and Consultant with world-class organizations in the biomedical sciences.
Stephen Cook, MD
Dr. Cook received his BA from Swarthmore College and his MD degree from Vanderbilt University. He went on to complete anatomic and clinical pathology residency and hematopathology fellowship at the University of Virginia where he also served as chief resident during his training. Dr. Cook is board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and hematopathology. After completing his training, Dr. Cook worked at University of California, San Francisco as a hematopathologist.
Ruben Gamez, MD
Dr. Gamez’ training included a Donald West King fellowship at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) in pulmonary pathology, as well as a prestigious rotation in lymph node pathology at the National Institute of Health /National Cancer Institute (NIH/NCI) under Dr. Elaine Jaffe, while simultaneously completing a hematopathology fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and hematopathology. At Specialty Laboratories, he served as Director of Coagulation and Cellular Immunology, Co-Laboratory Director and Staff Hematopathologist.
Dr. Gamez received both his BS and MD from the University of Arizona (Tucson, AZ). While still in Tucson, he completed an internship in family practice and community medicine at Arizona Health Sciences Center and completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix.
